Tagaytay City, is known as the grand viewing deck for the smallest volcano in the world, Taal Volcano. It is a volcano tithing a volcano within another lake.
The place is characterized by relatively low temperature, low humidity and abundant rainfall. The whole place is endowed with an average temperature of 22.7 o C. Tagaytay is misty and is relatively coder during the months of December, January and February. It is a vacation spot with cool and invigorating air, with accommodation ranging from simply back-to-nature trekkers to tempered lifestyle on urbanities.

The City is engaged in a more value-added agri-based industry such as processed fruits and meat, mushroomburgers and exports cutflowers. It's also a place of solitude to those who go up during the Holy Week.
Retreat houses are located at the roadside depicting peacefulness. Tagaytay City is also famous for organically grown fruits such as the "señoritas" (small bananas), guyabano (sour-sop), langka (jack-fruit), pineapple and vegetable, premium coffee, quality beef, mushrooms and a wide variety of exotic flowers. All the fruits mentioned are sold fresh from the trees and at a very affordable process, that's why tourists will never leave the City without bring home some.
In the formulation of a Comprehensive Master Plan, Tagaytay City is envisioned to become Nature City, Tourist City, Convention Center, People's Center; and Shopping Center for cheap vegetable and meat products.
The plan will provide a balance of growth of the city in terms of maximized tourist potential; poverty reduction, preservation of ecological balance and equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities.
